If it’s raining, leave your McLaren Elva in the garage

This is why a speedster like the McLaren Elva isn’t the ideal car when it’s tipping down.

These images were captured in Tokyo, Japan. It seems the Elva was flown to the city for an event and it started raining just when it was time to get it off the transporter. If you’re going to own a speedster, you better have an umbrella at hand.

The McLaren Elva is a 2-seat speedster that doesn’t have roof, nor does it have a windshield. It is powered by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine that generates 804 hp and is paired with a 7-speed gearbox. McLaren claims that the car will do 0-62 mph in less than 3 seconds and 0-124 mph in 6.7 seconds.

Just like the Elva, the Ferrari Monza and the Aston Martin V12 Speedster also face the same issue. You just can’t drive them in the rain.
