2026 Aston Martin DBX S revealed: More power than the DBX 707
Last month, we reported that Aston Martin was working on a hardcore version of the DBX. Well, it has now been confirmed that the company was indeed planning to launch a sporty SUV in the form of the Aston Martin DBX S.
The new DBX S is positioned above the existing DBX 707. It promises better performance and a more engaging drive. Here’s how.
Let’s start with the engine. The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine has been upgraded to produce 717 hp. The increased performance was achieved using turbochargers from the Valhalla supercar. As a result, the DBX S can sprint from 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds, while 0-124 mph takes a few tenths less. Top speed remains unchanged at 193 mph.
The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox, which has been remapped for quicker shifts. The steering ratio has also been adjusted for better response. The suspension and all-wheel drive system remain unchanged.
Now, coming to the exterior bits, the DBX S features a sportier front fascia with a new honeycomb grille, updated front bumper, new carbon mirrors and a carbon fibre roof. The result is a curb weight of 4846 lbs, 100 lbs less than the standard DBX.
The DBX S rides on a new set of 23-inch magnesium wheels and is equipped with ceramic brakes. The exhaust has also been upgraded and now features a pair of vertically stacked exhaust tips.
Prices for the Aston Martin DBX S will be announced later. Deliveries will begin in the fall of 2025.
