Golfer from India hits Hole-in-One; Wins BMW M8 Competition Coupe

That’s impressive on many levels. Do note that the BMW M8 Competition Coupe hasn’t even been unveiled to the public yet and hasn’t even gone on sale.

It took this golfer from India a hole-in-one hit to become the proud owner of an all-new BMW M8 Competition Coupe. Gaganjeet Bhullar holds the 175th rank on the international professional golfer charts and is competing in the PGA European Tour this year. When the tour landed in Munich for the BMW International Open, Bhullar hit an incredible hole-in-one to win the dream prize from BMW.

The M8 Competition Coupe is set for its world premiere next week and that makes this Indian golfer one of the first people to own one. Florian Baumeister, Head of Events, Exhibitions and Sport Marketing BMW Germany, presented the keys to the BMW M8 Competition Coupe. The sports car has a fancy price tag of €193,880.

This is the second hole-in-one in the golfer’s career and the first time since 2010 that the BMW Hole-in-One Award has been won in Munich. A delighted Bhullar said, “This is my second hole in one in a professional golf tournament. Before starting this year, I discussed with my caddie one of my dreams. I said need to make at least one hole in one and choose the right one, I’m glad we made that commitment. It’s a great moment. BMWs are some of my favorite cars and I’d love to drive that car.”

Speaking of the BMW M8 Competition Coupe, the flagship model packs a high-performance, M TwinPower 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine producing 625 hp of power. Aided by a host of advanced drivetrain and chassis components inspired by motorsport, the sports car can go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.2 seconds.
