The Pagani Huayra R is one of the ultimate track toys out there. Only 30 of these will be built, and if you have €2.6 million lying around in your bank account, you can have one too.
The Huayra R was revealed in March this year. But we only got to see some digital renderings and a 1:1 scale model. Now though, the first pre-production car is ready and Pagani engineers have taken it straight to the racetrack.
The mighty supercar was recently spotted by Marco Borgonovo at Monza in Italy. In this picture, the car can be seen negotiating what appears to be the first chicane.
Instead of a twin-turbo V12, the Huayra R uses a brand-new naturally aspirated V12 motor that revs to 9000 rpm. It produces 850 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. That’s more than adequate in a car that weighs just 1050 kg.
