Watch F1 World Champion Fernando Alonso Drive the 2020 Toyota GR Supra
The keys of the 2020 Toyota GR Supra were handed over to a tame racing driver named Fernando Alonso and he had a blast with the sports car on a race track.
Fernando Alonso is one of the most talented and revered Formula 1 racing drivers of his generation. The new 2020 Toyota GR Supra is among the most-talked-about sports cars of recent times. So what happens when these two are cut loose on the Fuji International Speedway? Scroll down to the very bottom and play the video to find out.
Of course, the Spaniard had good things to say about the sports car, praising the GR Supra for its technology, braking and cornering abilities and acceleration. While most of it does feel like any other car promotional video where racing drivers heap accolades and appreciation on the car concerned, you actually get to see Fernando Alonso smiling wholeheartedly when testing the Toyota GR Supra’s acceleration and braking.
Not only that, Alonso also makes it a point to reveal how cars have grown from being mere modes of transportation to something which stirs the emotions and excites the senses of the driver. We actually loved that part of the whole video more than seeing the new-gen Toyota GR Supra being put through the paces by a two-time Formula 1 World Champion.
A quick recap on the 2020 Toyota GR Supra specs. It’s a revival of what could possibly be called one of the greatest sports cars of all time.
