Exclusive! New insider details on the Lamborghini Urus Hybrid
The next generation Lamborghini Urus is going electric, and we recently got a taster of what the future holds in the form of the Lanzador concept EV. However, before the “raging bull” brand transitions to EVs, we will get one final V8 Urus.
The Lamborghini Urus Hybrid is currently in its final stages of development. It is expected to be unveiled before the end of this year. We’ve been told that the SUV will receive several updates besides the new plug-in hybrid powertrain.
Here’s what we know so far about the upcoming Urus PHEV –
According to our sources, the Urus hybrid will feature a more aggressive styling. Currently, the most extreme version of the SUV offered by Lamborghini is the Performante. We could see similar exterior elements on the hybrid version.
The Urus Hybrid is also likely to get a revamped interior. Sources tell us that the car will get a new dashboard with revised air vents, new trim and upholstery. However, the most significant upgrade will come in the form of a 12.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
We also know that the V8 engine in combination with the hybrid system will push around 800 hp, making it the most powerful Urus ever. At present, the Performante holds this crown. It packs a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that makes 657 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque.
