The Bugatti Veyron is the fastest production car in the world, officially at least. However, there are numerous tuned supercars scattered across the world that could beat the mightiest of the Veyrons. The most powerful Veyron makes around 1200 hp from a hefty W16 quad-turbocharged engine.
The Bugatti also come with all-wheel drive which makes it quicker off the line and hits 60 mph in just 2.5 sec and has a top speed in excess of 250 mph. So, when a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera drove to the staging area, the Bugatti driver perhaps did not consider what was powering the Lambo.
In this case, the Lamborghini clearly has the weight advantage. It is all-wheel drive like the Veyron and has a twin-turbocharged V10 engine that generates no less than 1250 hp. Prepared by Underground Racing, this Gallardo started life with a 562 hp, 5.0-liter V10 engine but all that changed when the guys from Charlotte, NC got hold of it.
