The upcoming Jensen Interceptor GTX already promises some serious numbers, but its soundtrack might be just as impressive.
Jensen has released a video on social media showing the Interceptor GTX doing a hard acceleration run, apparently during testing. And it sounds absolutely savage.
The star is its 6.8-litre supercharged V8. The exhaust note is deep and brutal, accompanied by the unmistakable whine of the supercharger as the revs climb. Then come the manual gear changes, which are the icing on the cake.
The GM LS-based V8 is expected to produce around 900 hp initially, although Jensen says it can eventually be tuned to deliver as much as 1,200 hp.
Mounted up front, the engine sends power exclusively to the rear wheels. It is paired with a six-speed sequential manual transmission that can be operated using either paddle shifters or a centrally mounted gear lever.
