Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport rear wing cracks as guy tries to squat on it
The Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport generates 50 kg more downforce than the standard Chiron. It is partly thanks to the fixed rear wing. As is the case with most aero components on this car, the spoiler is also a carbon fibre piece, built to withstand high loads at speed. What it isn’t capable of is supporting a well-built individual squatting on it.
Alex Gonzales tried to do just that and may have destroyed the rear wing on his Chiron Pur Sport. Alex recently posted a video on his Instagram, where he can be seen standing on the spoiler, and while he tries to squat on it, you can clearly hear the carbon fibre crack under his feet.
Now, we don’t know how much a replacement wing for a Chiron Pur Sport costs. If any owners or service guys are reading this, kindly enlighten us. It won’t be a cheap fix, that’s for sure.
