With the new-generation BMW 3 Series arriving soon, the current G20 is nearing the end of its run. BMW Japan is marking the occasion with a limited-run Black Package for the M340i Sedan, M340i Touring and M440i xDrive Gran Coupe.
The special editions add black M badges, dark rear lettering and black 19-inch alloy wheels. Buyers can choose Alpine White, Black Sapphire or M Brooklyn Grey, creating a nice contrast with the darker details.

Inside, the M340i models get black Vernasca leather with blue stitching, M Sport seats and carbon-fibre trim. The M440i instead uses red stitching, while all three receive heated steering wheels and galvanic-finish controls.
Under the bonnet, the cars retain BMW’s turbocharged inline-six, paired with xDrive all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
BMW Japan will build 150 M340i Sedans, while the Touring and M440i Gran Coupe are each limited to 100 units. Prices start at ¥10.32 million ($65,405), rising to ¥10.76 million ($68,190) for the M440i.
