Bentley Continental GT & Flying Spur with 671 hp V8 hybrid launched

Last year, Bentley introduced the fourth-generation Continental GT and Flying Spur. The Speed and Mulliner variants use the brand’s latest ‘Ultra Performance Hybrid’ powertrain. Now, the British luxury carmaker has introduced two new variants and a second V8 plug-in hybrid option.

The new “core” and Azure variants are powered by Bentley’s new ‘High Performance Hybrid’ powertrain. It’s a 4.0-liter V8 paired with an electric motor, producing 671 hp and 686 lb-ft of torque. Despite being the least powerful of the two engine options, it outperforms the old W12 Speed while also offering an electric-only range of around 50 miles.

The Bentley Active Chassis technology includes Dynamic Ride, Rear Wheel Steering and eLSD with a choice of Comfort, Bentley and Sport modes.

The new Azure variants offer a more elegant styling package featuring a new gloss black matrix grille with chrome surround and vertical vanes, a gloss black front splitter and bright grilles on the front bumper. The car rides on 22-inch machined wheels.
