Audi is preparing to build its biggest SUVs in America, with the German luxury brand planning a $4 billion production facility in Georgia. Construction is expected to begin in 2027, while vehicle production is scheduled for the early 2030s.
Audi CEO Gernot Döllner has confirmed which models are expected to carry the Made in USA label. The Q7, Q8 and Q9 will form the backbone of the new factory’s lineup.

The Q9 is perhaps the most interesting of the trio. Audi’s full-size SUV will take on established rivals such as the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS, giving the brand a much larger presence in this segment.
By the time production starts, the Q7 and Q9 are likely to have received updates. Meanwhile, both will continue to be sourced from Audi’s Bratislava plant in Slovakia.

The Q8 will also eventually move to Georgia. Despite its coupe-like styling, Audi plans to give the SUV a second generation, which will be built at the new American facility.
