Audi Q9 Horch spotted testing, to rival new Mercedes-Maybach GLS

2 Min Read

The Audi Q9 Horch has been spotted testing. While the prototype is under heavy disguise thanks to its camouflaged outfit, there are still a few design elements that can be seen.

Unlike the regular Q9, the Horch variant is fitted with a redesigned front grille. It has multiple vertical slats bearing the four-ringed logo at the top. These are blacked out and hence would impart a much sportier look to the SUV.

Apart from that, we can also see a reworked front bumper. It has a sporty-looking setup that would gel with the overall front look. The location of the radar for the ADAS remains the same.

The SUV is running on a different set of wheels, too. The one on the regular Q9 has an elegant design, whereas the one here is more aggressive-looking. Finished in black, these wheels have a multi-spoke design for a sportier stance. We wouldn’t be surprised if they end up being bigger too.

Interestingly, it was earlier reported that Audi will not be making a Horch variant of the Q9. But here we are, with a spy shot. When launched, this will become the Q9’s ultra-luxury, top-of-the-line trim, and will rival the recently revealed Mercedes-Maybach GLS.
