The Jaguar Type 01 has already made quite an impression, but imagine those design cues wrapped around an SUV. A new rendering does exactly that, and the result looks surprisingly convincing.
The Type 01’s sleek, low-slung proportions give it an elegant and luxurious character. This imagined SUV keeps the same design language but adds more volume, making it look tougher without losing the sense of it being a “reinvented” Jaguar.
The renderings show the SUV from several angles, and most of them work remarkably well. The rear design is less convincing, but overall, there is plenty to like here.
Jaguar is expected to expand its future EV lineup following the Type 01, and an SUV using similar styling could be an interesting next step. If the production car looked anything like this, it would certainly stand out in the luxury EV market.
For reference, the Type 01 uses three electric motors producing a combined 1,016 hp and 1,007 lb-ft of torque. It’s said to be capable of 0-62 mph in 3.2 seconds and with its 118kWh battery, it can provide up to 450 miles of WLTP range.
