Ariel Motor Company is strengthening its presence in the United States through a new exclusive distribution partnership with Forman Motorworks, based in Scottsdale, Arizona. The arrangement gives American buyers direct access to the British manufacturer’s latest factory-built models, replacing its previous licensed US production programme.
The lineup includes the Atom 4, the more potent 400 bhp Atom 4R and the track-focused Atom 4RR, which features a bespoke, hand-built 525 bhp engine. The range also includes the Nomad 2, an off-road-oriented machine designed to tackle everything from paved roads to gravel tracks and desert trails.
Rather than relying on locally manufactured vehicles, US customers will now be able to order UK-built models through Forman Motorworks, which will also coordinate parts, servicing and maintenance through selected support locations across the country.
The distributor’s first demonstrator cars, an Atom 4 and an Atom 4R, are currently being built, with delivery expected in the first quarter of 2027. Initial customer deliveries in the US are planned for summer 2027.
