The much-hyped Tesla Roadster has made its first public appearance since its reveal, giving enthusiasts a closer look at the electric sports car. Videos shared on social media show the car arriving at the Petersen Automotive Museum in California, where it was slowly driven into position.
From the front, the Roadster features a slim horizontal light bar paired with angular LED headlights. But the rear looks even more attractive, with another full-width light bar, a prominent spoiler, and the quad thruster outlets.
The public appearance also offered a glimpse inside. The cabin follows Tesla’s minimalist approach, with a small yoke-style steering wheel and a central touchscreen that appears to handle most of the car’s functions.
The Tesla Roadster was revealed earlier this month with a claimed 1,073 hp and 885 lb-ft of torque in standard form, generated by two electric motors mounted on the rear axle. The Performance version reportedly raises output to 1,350 hp and 1,033 lb-ft.
