Honda has introduced the updated Civic Type R in the United States. For less than $50,000, Honda is offering chassis and aerodynamic upgrades while retaining the same 315 hp turbocharged 4-cylinder engine.
The 2027 Civic Type R gets a redesigned front fascia, featuring a larger grille for better engine cooling and a deeper front splitter for increased downforce.

Under the skin, the car gets retuned adaptive dampers, which have been optimised to improve cornering performance in +R mode. The rev-matching system now delivers faster engine response for smoother downshifts and brake feel has been improved by adding a yoke spring.

Inside, the new Civic Type R comes with sport seats wrapped in red suede-like upholstery, which get a heating function for the first time. Other updates include an auto-dimming rearview mirror, Google & Alexa built-in and Google Gemini support, as well as Honda Sensing driver assist tech.
