Cadillac could be planning a more powerful CT5-V Blackwing

Cadillac has already confirmed that a next-generation CT5 is on the way, and importantly, it won’t abandon gasoline power. But the bigger news may be a step above.

Fresh reports suggest the brand is preparing not just a standard lineup, but a full-blown successor to the legendary CT5-V Blackwing. If true, this means Cadillac isn’t ready to let go of its most extreme performance sedan just yet.

Details are still scarce, but expectations are high. The current Blackwing is powered by a supercharged 6.2-litre LT4 V8, delivering 668 hp and 659 lb-ft of torque. In its latest F1 Collector Series form, that climbs to 685 hp and 673 lb-ft, thanks to an upgraded supercharger.

A second-generation CT5-V Blackwing would likely build on that formula. It’d have more power, sharper dynamics, and possibly even more advanced tech. Of course, nothing is official yet.
