Texas-based Hennessey Performance has revealed what is said to be the world’s most powerful manual production hypercar, the Venom F5-M Roadster.
The Hennessey Venom F5-M Roadster is powered by the mighty ‘Fury V8’ engine that delivers no less than 1817 hp. What makes this car special is how you control all that power. Unlike the standard Venom F5, which has a 7-speed automated manual transmission, the F5-M comes with a 6-speed manual.
The engine had to be recalibrated to work with the new 6-speed manual. It was remapped by Hennessey’s engineering guru Brian Jones to pair it with new gearing ratios. Inside the cabin, the driver operates the gearbox using an aluminium and carbon fibre shifter placed within a 6-speed gate milled from billet aluminium.
The F5-M also features a 55-inch dorsal fin that extends from the roof-mounted air scoop to the trailing edge of the rear deck.
Only 12 examples of the Venom F5-M Roadster will be produced with a price tag of $2.65 million, and they are already sold out.
