Audi has confirmed the fifth-generation A6 allroad for Australia, and there is a significant first for the rugged luxury wagon: a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Due to arrive in the first half of 2027, the new model will start at AU$127,900 before on-road costs.
That entry price gets buyers the A6 allroad e-hybrid quattro, which pairs a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with an electric motor and a 25.9kWh battery. Combined outputs stand at 270 kW / 362 hp and 500 Nm / 368 lb ft.

Buyers preferring diesel can opt for the 3.0-litre V6 TDI, producing 220 kW / 295 hp and 580 Nm / 427 lb ft, although it costs AU$137,900. It uses 48V mild-hybrid technology rather than plug-in hybrid power.
Audi describes this as its most comprehensively equipped A6 allroad yet. An optional AU$9,900 Premium package adds digital Matrix LED headlights, OLED tail-lights with customisable signatures, power-latching doors, heated rear seats and advanced parking functions.
