The Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 W04 is headed to auction. It is the same car that Lewis Hamilton drove to victory at the 2013 Hungarian Grand Prix.

The W04 competed in 14 out of 19 races during the 2013 Formula 1 season. It also helped Mercedes secure a 2nd place finish in the 2013 Constructors’ Championship.

The Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 W04 marks the end of the V8 era. It is the final naturally aspirated 2.4-liter V8 F1 car. From the 2014 season onwards, Formula 1 switched to 1.6-liter V6 turbocharged hybrid engines.

Lewis’ old racecar will be auctioned at RM Sotheby’s Las Vegas event on November 17, 2023. It is estimated to fetch between $10 million – $15 million.
