McLaren’s personalization department has revealed a new painting technique. The McLaren 750S Spectrum Theme by MSO showcases the gradient style paint job on the exterior of the car in a blue shade. The price for this is not yet announced. However, the carmaker plans to launch a similar color customization option in orange and gray tones as well.

Finished a blue hue, this paintjob features gradient striping on the car’s body. This is a special paint that blends light and dark tones to make the paint appear as if it is shifting the color. Further, owners can also customize the underside of the rear wing with a contrast color to better match the color of the car.

According to the Director at the McLaren’s Special Operations Division, Michael McDonagh, the new paint takes the skills and abilities of the carmaker to the next level. It showcases the amazing level of attention and accuracy to get the finish on a car like the 750S.

McLaren 750S : More Details

It was back in April 2023 that McLaren unveiled the 750S. As a successor to the 720S, it gets a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 motor. McLaren says that the engine develops 740 HP and 590 lb.ft. of torque. A 7-speed automatic gearbox sends the power to the rear wheels.

In terms of numbers, McLaren claims a 0-60 mph time of 2.7 seconds. This is valid for both the Coupe and the Convertible versions of the 750S. Further, the coupe reaches 124 mph in 7.2 seconds while the convertible is slightly lower by taking 7.2 seconds. The claimed top speed of both is 206 mph.
