2023 Ferrari Le Mans Hypercar teased for the first time
Ferrari has dropped the first teaser of its 2023 Le Mans contender. It will be the first time in 49 years that we will have a Ferrar racing in the top class at Le Mans.
The 2023 Ferrari Le Mans Hypercar will begin its first development tests in the coming weeks. That’s when we can expect Maranello to show us the prototype. That being said, the teaser does give a hint of what we can expect. The front of the car is reminiscent of the exclusive Daytona SP3, which in itself is a nod to the Ferrari racecars from the 1960s.
Ferrari has a long history of endurance racing. Three 312 PBs powered by flat-12 engines once raced down the legendary Mulsanne straight. After 349 laps, the car driven by Arturo Merzario and Carlos Pace finished second.
The 250 LM was the last Ferrari to win at Le Mans. Back in the day, cars like the 275 P, 330 P2 and 330 P3 also dominated the race track.
