A 1996 Ferrari F50 in a relatively rare Giallo Modena spec has been sold at auction for $14.5 million. It is one of just 31 cars painted in this yellow shade and is no. 239 out of 349 F50s built. It was delivered new to a customer in Switzerland.
Despite its age, this F50 remains in remarkably original condition. It retains its matching chassis, engine, gearbox, and bodywork, along with factory stampings still clearly visible. It had just 4,500 miles on the odometer at the time of cataloging.
This car is Ferrari Classiche certified, complete with its coveted Red Book. It comes with a Schedoni luggage set, original tools, rare TOD’S driving boots, and even the F50 flight case for its Barchetta conversion.
The Ferrari F50 is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.7-liter V12 engine that develops 513 hp and 347 lb-ft of torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It is currently equipped with a Tubi exhaust, but the original exhaust has been preserved by the previous owner.
