An ultra-rare McLaren P1 Carbon Series is up for sale in Qatar. These images may seem familiar, as this might not be the first time that the car is looking for a new buyer. A similar P1 Carbon Series was listed for sale at a Dubai dealership in 2016.

The P1 Carbon Series is a limited edition of McLaren’s flagship hypercar. Only five examples were built with exposed carbon bodywork. This particular car has red exterior accents with matching pinstripes around the vents and wheels. It also has red brake calipers. The interior too has a few bright red touches that set it apart from the standard P1.

Under the striking bodywork lies a 3.8-liter, twin-turbo V8 hybrid that churns out 903 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. The motor is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that drives the rear wheels. As per the performance figures released by McLaren, the P1 can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 217 mph.

One of the most well known P1s that was retrofitted with an exposed carbon exterior is Manny Khoshbin’s ‘MK Edition’. It is the only P1 in the world with a satin carbon body.

The McLaren P1 first debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013. Only 375 units were produced.
