Watch a Pro Drifter slide a $3.4 million Pagani Utopia Roadster on ice
Would you ever risk driving your $3.4 million Pagani hypercar on an icy, low-grip surface like a frozen lake in the middle of winter? But that’s exactly what some supercar owners do in St. Moritz, Switzerland, each year.
Of course, the drivers who take the cars around know a thing or two about car control, like Yaroslav Veselaho, who is a professional racer and 2020 Drift Champion of Ukraine. This year, he got behind the wheel of a Pagani Utopia Roadster for a media shoot. His task was simple – slide the hypercar on the icy track while the media team shot pictures and videos.
Veselaho posted a short first-person video on his Instagram, showing us what it’s like to drift a Utopia. You can see him shuffling the steering wheel as he tries to point the car in the right direction. Also, note the sound of the turbochargers.
Powering the Utopia Roadster is the same 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine as the coupe. This AMG-sourced engine produces 864 hp @ 6000 rpm and 811 lb-ft of torque @ 2800-5900 rpm. It is paired with either a 7-speed automated manual or a stick shift.
