Track-focused Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear officially revealed
Koenigsegg has finally revealed its new hypercar based on the Jesko – the Sadair’s Spear. As expected, it’s a track-focused version, which is lighter and more powerful than the standard model.
The Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear is named after the horse that Jesko von Koenigsegg rode in his final race in 1976. Production will be limited to just 30 units.
The Sadair’s Spear looks more extreme than the standard Jesko, courtesy of a new aero package that includes an active, top-mounted double-blade rear wing, refined underfloor strakes and wheel arch louvres. The car features larger canards and hood vents, while specially designed rear hood scoops further boost engine performance.
At its heart is a twin-turbo V8 engine, which delivers 1625 hp on E85 fuel, up from 1300 hp. The car weighs 35 kg less than the standard Jesko, which further enhances its power-to-weight ratio beyond 1:1.
Inside, the Sadair’s Spear comes with redesigned carbon fibre seats with optional 6-point harnesses, paddle shifters for the Light Speed Transmission, a steering-mounted SmartCluster display, and more.
Koenigsegg claims that the Sadair’s Spear destroyed the previous lap record at Gotland Ring set by the Jesko Attack by 1.1 seconds.
