The Apollo IE looks intense and it sounds equally mental.
The new Apollo IE, where ‘IE’ stands for Intensa Emozione in Italian or as you might have deciphered, Intense Emotion in English has been aptly named. As Tim Burton of Shmee150 fame discovers, everything from the looks, the interior, the sound and performance claims of the IE are insane.
Starting with the sound the naturally aspirated V12 produces, well..’shrieky’ would cover it. Along with its awesome sound, the V12 also produces 800 horsepowers.
Aeshetically, we won’t call the IE a beautiful car, although it’s breathtaking to look at. The inspiration taken from nature and I kid you not, insects is apparent thoroughly. Everything from the diffuser, the rear wing, lights and the exhaust outlet combine numerous shapes and look unlike anything you have ever seen on a car before. A purple carbon paint job and golden wheels somehow compliment that aesthetic absurdity.
It’s the same story inside with intense design elements being complemented by a formula one inspired steering wheel covered with knobs and buttons, golden paddle shifts and futuristic touches such as the three digital displays.
The Apollo IE recently attended Cars and Coffee Brescia. Numerous other supercars turned up including Ferrari LaFerrari, Porsche 918 Spyder, Koenigsegg CCX Edition, Pagani Huayra BC, Huayra Roadster, Bugatti Veyron, EB110, Porsche Carrera GT, Gumpert Apollo, Ferrari F40, Lamborghini Miura, and many more supercars and hypercars.
