A Rolls-Royce Phantom and a BYD Sealion electric SUV were involved in a crash near Singapore’s Clarke Quay on Friday afternoon, leaving a 72-year-old woman injured. Police are investigating the drivers of both vehicles following the incident.
The accident occurred at around 2.40 pm on October 9, at the junction of New Bridge Road and Carpenter Street.

Images from the scene showed damage to both vehicles. The Rolls-Royce Phantom suffered damage to its front bumper and radiator grille, while the BYD’s left-side passenger doors were crumpled and its airbags had deployed.
The injured woman, who was travelling as a passenger in the BYD, was conscious when taken to Singapore General Hospital, according to the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force. Two other people were assessed for minor injuries but declined hospitalisation.
The Phantom was driven by a 48-year-old man, while a 76-year-old man was behind the wheel of the BYD.
Police investigations into the circumstances of the collision are ongoing. Further details about what led to the crash have not yet been released.
