The recently revealed Brabus Bodo is powered by a 5.2L twin-turbo V12 engine that produces 885 lb-ft of torque. Here is a quick check of how this 1000 hp powerhouse sounds.
The video shows us the Brabus Bodo at its unveiling event. Once the car is revealed, we get to hear its start-up sound. Based on the Aston Martin Vanquish, the Bodo comes to life with a roar and some burbles.
The special vehicle is then revved up a little, and this is where things get interesting. The exhaust note is very smooth, obviously, since it’s a V12. However, it’s not as shrilling. Well, at least not at these revs, it is not. And we’re yet to hear this one go bonkers. We could also hear some mild pops and bangs during the revs.
Since the Brabus Bodo bears the name of the company’s founder, Bodo Buschmann, and is a tribute to the late CEO, it ought to be a build-to-order model. The price exceeds $1.1 million a piece.
