Production-spec Koenigsegg Gemera with a 2300 hp V8 unveiled
Koenigsegg has taken the wraps off the production-spec Gemera. The 4-seater hypercar was presented during the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new factory where the car will be built
The Gemera was first presented in concept form in March 2020. Since then, engineers at Koenigsegg have been working on the project behind the scenes. It is only now that we can share the technical specs of the final production version.
The Gemera borrows its V8 engine from the Jesko, which is paired with hybrid motors. The results are simply mind-boggling – 2300 hp and 2028 lb-ft of torque! Koenigsegg claims a power-to-weight ratio of 1.11:1.
Koenigsegg will also offer the Gemera with what it calls “the Tiny Friendly Giant engine”. This is the inline 3-cylinder engine, which will come at a much lower price point. The V8 paired with a 9-speed Light Speed Transmission is a $400,000 option.
The production version features several exterior changes as well. For starters, it gets conventional wing mirrors instead of cameras. Koenigsegg will also offer a rear wing, an aggressive front splitter, an S-duct and other aero bits as part of the optional Ghost Package.
