Peregryn Automotive has announced that it is bringing a Le Mans-looking V8 missile to America. It’s called the Peregryn GT-R, and it will be accompanied by a road-biased GT-S model.
Peregryn has acquired the rights, tooling, and intellectual property of Ultima Cars—a British company known for building brutally fast, lightweight machines. Now, production is shifting to the US, with two models planned: the GT-S and the more hardcore GT-R.
The GT-S is a grand tourer, packing over 500 hp and a top speed north of 200 mph. It leans toward usability too, offering buyers a choice between digital and analogue dashboards. The GT-R, however, is where things get serious. With up to 700 hp on tap and a claimed 0–60 mph time of just 2.2 seconds, it matches the pace of the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.
Both cars are powered by proven Chevrolet LS- and LT-series V8 engines, which means massive tuning potential and easy support across the US.
Underneath, there’s a lightweight spaceframe chassis, a dry weight of around 2,100 pounds, and a carbon aero package generating over 1,200 pounds of downforce.
Production begins in March 2027, with deliveries expected shortly after. Prices start at around $195,000.
