McLaren 720S can do 0-60 MPH in 1.8 sec with just 2 Mods
With just a few modifications, the McLaren 720S can take on drag racing heavyweights.
Floor the throttle pedal in a McLaren 720S and you will hit 60 mph in 2.8 seconds. At least, that’s what McLaren claims. However, according to Brooks of Dragtimes, a few modifications can make the supercar a lot faster. These could include complete exhaust upgrades or just new downpipes and an ECU tune. Slap on stickier tires and the car could do 0-60 mph in 1.8 seconds!
This video compilation is proof that the 720S will do sub-9 second quarter mile times on the drag strip. Whereas, McLaren claims that the car will complete the quarter mile in 10.3 seconds.
A stock McLaren 720S is powered by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine that develops 710 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with drive going to the rear wheels. The 720S is based on a carbon monocoque which makes it unique among its competition.
