Sometimes a recall campaign covers thousands of vehicles. This one covers just one.

Land Rover has issued a voluntary NHTSA safety recall for a single 2026 Range Rover Sport built on February 16, 2026. The issue involves a potentially deformed circuit board inside the SUV’s Powertrain Control Module (PCM), which could cause several problems, including an engine stall without warning.

The unusual recall began after the PCM supplier identified a small number of modules with what it described as “anomalous production parameters.” An investigation then found four affected Range Rover Sport SUVs had already reached customers.

For reasons that aren’t explained in the recall report, only one of those four customer-owned Range Rover Sports is included in this particular recall.

For the unlucky owner, however, the remedy is straightforward. Land Rover will replace the affected PCM at no cost.
