Jaguar Land Rover is recalling 873 Range Rover Sport SUVs in the US and its territories after discovering a potential problem with their rear subframes.
The recall covers 2024 through 2026 model-year vehicles built at JLR’s Solihull plant between October 3, 2023 and May 22, 2026. According to the automaker, the issue can be traced to a forging defect at suppliers Linamar Casting and Gestamp Assembly, which provided the affected structural components.

Cracks can reportedly form during the forging process before the subframes reach vehicle assembly. The problem is particularly difficult to spot because final machining can hide the cracks during routine visual inspections.
JLR has not reported any accidents, injuries or fires linked to the defect in the US.
Dealers will inspect the rear subframes of affected Range Rover Sport models and repair or replace them where necessary, with the work carried out at no cost to owners.
