Koenigsegg’s new model looks more like a track hypercar in new teaser

Koenigsegg will reveal a new hypercar later today. Just hours ahead of the official launch, the company has released a teaser image that kind of hints at a track hypercar.

The latest teaser reveals the rear silhouette with the main focus being on the massive spoiler. Unlike the Jesko Attack, which has a top-mounted active rear wing, this one appears to be a fixed wing with large end plates just like a racecar.

Another detail that leads us to suspect that it might be an extreme version of the Jesko is the lack of taillights. Instead of conventional tail lamps, it has a single, centrally mounted LED light.

The next hint is in the caption itself. It says, “The Finish Line Is Our Starting Point”. That’s a clear indication that the new model has something to do with the racetrack.

There have been rumours of a more hardcore version of Jesko for almost a year now. The new track version is likely to feature modified aero and perhaps a slight boost in performance as well. In the standard car, the 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine puts out 1280 hp and 1106 lb-ft of max torque. The engine is paired with a 9-speed multi-clutch transmission.
