The Ferrari SF90 Stradale has added another feather to its cap. The 1000 hp plug-in hybrid supercar just lapped the Anglesey Circuit in record time.
The fastest machinery that is dropped off at EVO Magazine’s office is often put through its paces at this racetrack in Wales. The BAC Mono 2.5 currently holds the lap record of 1 min 07.7 seconds. However, the fastest production car to lap the track is the 488 Pista. It went around in 1 min 10.8 seconds.
This time, Ferrari sent an SF90 Stradale Assetto Fiorano, and in hands of Steve Sutcliffe, the car set a new production car lap record. The SF90 recorded a lap time of 1 min 09.0 seconds!
The SF90 Stradale is powered by a 3990cc, twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 769 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. The internal combustion engine is assisted by two electric motors mounted at the front and one at the rear, adding another 217 hp for a combined output of 986 hp.
