Ferrari 812 successor to debut next week in Miami; What we know so far
Ferrari is all set to reveal its next-generation V12 grand tourer next week. The yet-to-be-named Ferrari 812 successor will be presented during the Formula 1 Miami GP weekend. There has been quite a buzz on the forums, so we thought we would give you some updates from the rumor mill.
Let’s start with the design, which could be inspired by the 365 GTB/4, with a hint of the Roma and 296 GTB. The taillights are said to be similar to those on the Purosangue – four elements with an LED light bar in the middle. It could feature a closed-off rear section like the 812 Competizione or might get a 575 Superamerica-inspired glass.
The interior of the 812 successor might be based on Purosangue’s cabin design. If that’s true, then we can expect a twin cockpit design with a digital instrument cluster and a separate screen on the passenger side.
Coming to the engine, the 812 successor will be powered by the F140 naturally aspirated V12 engine. It is said to produce around 840 hp and revs to 9500 rpm.
Ferrari is likely to showcase both coupe and convertible versions of the 812 successor in Miami. Some say that the open-top would actually feature a Targa-style roof. It is also said that dealers have started taking orders for both variants.
