Ferrari 812 Competizione Aperta build slot selling for $500,000 over sticker!

Ferrari debuted the limited edition 812 Competizione earlier this year. The carmaker also announced a more exclusive open-top version called the 812 Competizione Aperta. With just 599 units planned for production and most being sold to Ferrari’s VIP clients, demand for the Aperta is massive. Since there’s demand, prices are invariably going to rise.

So, if you happen to be in the market for an 812 Competizione Aperta, you will have to pay a premium. Now, here’s the shocker. AmcarsFrance has a build slot on offer for $1.16 million!

As far as we know, the base price of the coupe is around $583,000, while the Aperta costs about $672,500. Therefore, it’s safe to say that currently, the Aperta costs almost double its sticker price.

The 812 Competizione is the hottest, most track-focused version of the 812 Superfast. It is powered by a 6.5-liter, naturally aspirated V12 engine that produces 830 hp and 510 lb-ft, with a redline at 9500 rpm.

Naturally aspirated V12 are a dying breed, which is one of the reasons why collectors are queueing to get a build slot. Just imagine how much an 812C will cost in a few years.

Ferrari is set to reveal yet another limited edition supercar next month. It’s the new Icona series supercar inspired by the 330 P4.
