Exclusive: V12-Powered Ferrari 812 Spider could arrive in early September

Ferrari has two new models lined up for this year. One of them will be the 812 Spider, while the other could be the Purosangue SUV.

Over the weekend, we had a chance to chat with a supercar collector, who has the upcoming EB110 Tribute car on order. During our conversation, he mentioned that the 812 Spider – a convertible version of the 812 Superfast is expected to be launched in early September.

The 812 Spider is likely to be powered by the same 6.5-liter V12 that powers the coupe. It produces 789 hp and 530 lb-ft of torque. While the 812 Superfast has a top speed of 211 mph and a 0–62 mph time of 2.9 seconds, the convertible version might be a tad slower.

In terms of styling, the convertible might look similar to the coupe. It could feature a folding hard top. However, this is just speculation as we haven’t heard anything from Ferrari yet. Neither have our sources been able to shed any light on this.

Ferrari has already said that it is eyeing new segments and that includes an SUV. Dubbed the Purosangue, it is expected to lock horns with the Lamborghini Urus.
