There have been rumors about the Porsche 911 ST being launched next month. We were the first to tell you that these were mere speculations and that Porsche had plans to unveil a “special” car on June 8, 2023.
Today, we have something interesting to report about this “special” model. If the latest rumors are to be believed, we might get to see the Porsche 918 successor in its concept form.
Initially, it was believed that the Porsche 918 successor would arrive by 2025. However, the German automaker was quick to deny these claims and stated that a halo supercar was not in the pipeline for at least the next 5 years. That doesn’t mean the company won’t showcase a concept prior to that.
The 918 Spyder concept was unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, and the car went into production in September 2013. This year marks 10 years since the start of production, making it the ideal occasion to showcase the brand’s next-gen hypercar.
Like the 918, the new model will be produced in limited numbers. While it’s too early to speculate on the technical aspects of the car, we hope it will at least be a hybrid like its predecessor.
