The all-electric Lexus LFA Concept is heading to Australia for the first time, where it will be displayed at the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
While the appearance is only a concept showcase, reports suggest the battery-powered supercar could eventually reach production, potentially as early as 2027. Lexus has not confirmed Australian sales, pricing or final production specifications yet.

Lexus has not revealed power, torque, battery capacity, range or acceleration figures for this latest concept. However, earlier reports surrounding the project have pointed towards low-two-second 0-100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration.
The electric Lexus LFA Concept could also feature simulated gearshifts. Instead of simply changing motor output, the system would let the driver select virtual gears and carefully manage torque during each shift.
For now, Australian enthusiasts can at least see the concept up close before Lexus decides its next move.
