The upcoming Lexus LFA EV has been spotted testing in Spain, giving us a fresh look at the electric sports car beneath its heavy camouflage. While most of the design remains hidden, the prototype’s low stance and sleek proportions are already apparent.
At the rear, the test mule appears to feature a wide, slim LED taillight, an integrated diffuser and what looks like an active rear wing; very similar to the concept EV. The side profile reveals curvy body panels, sculpted doors and air channels designed to improve aerodynamic efficiency. It also rides on stylish black alloy wheels and has a sloping roofline.

One unusual detail that we can spot in the spy shot is the side window, which appears to be fixed, with only a small section opening via a sliding mechanism. This could simply be a temporary arrangement for the prototype rather than something carried over to the production car.
Expected to arrive in 2027, the LFA EV could also bring an interesting feature: simulated gearshifts. Recently patented, this system is expected to replicate both upshifts and downshifts.
