Dodge has unveiled the Challenger SRT Hellcat with more horsepower than all the models that have gone by. Muscle cars of the past were crude, simple and although they had fairly large engines, they did not produce that much raw power. Now though, we have a muscle car with the horsepower of a Ferrari. The new Challenger SRT Hellcat is the latest in the line of 2015 Dodge Challenger models. Powered by a 6.2-liter Supercharged HEMI V-8, the top-of-the-line model puts out 600 horsepower 140 hp more than the standard Challenger SRT.

The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat will be sold alongside the standard SRT with 458 horsepower. The massive engine is bolted to a six-speed manual transmission or customers can also opt for an 8-speed automatic both of which would allow you to make a lot of tire smoke. That said, Dodge hasn’t revealed the performance figures for the Challenger SRT Hellcat, although that would be something you wouldn’t want to miss out. This new Challenger Hellcat could come pretty close to posting a time well under 5-seconds to 60 mph.

The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat gets loads of modifications on the exterior as well. The expansive bonnet get a hood scoop and contrast boot spoiler at the rear. The muscle car rides on 18-inch wheels and one of the unique design features on it is the ram-air duct nestled between the headlights. Quite a mean looking feature, that.
