Last week, we witnessed the unveiling of the one-off Bugatti Destrier at The Quail. It’s based on the Bolide, which makes it the brand’s most extreme road car.
Bugatti design boss Frank Heyl has created an absolute stunner. Jaws dropped when the covers came off, but it was later, when the car was seen driving past a few parked vehicles, that we got the true sense of its scale.
The Destrier sits super low to the ground. The Tourbillon-inspired exterior design looks classy, but the Bolide platform gives it an aggressive stance.
The Bugatti Destrier is the third model under the exclusive Solitaire programme. It is powered by the same 8.0-liter W16 quad-turbocharged engine as the Bolide, with a peak output of 1600 hp.
