The Aston Martin Valhalla is the British carmaker’s second hybrid supercar after the highly exclusive and extreme Valkyrie. It costs over a million dollars, and for that you get a lightweight, mid-engined supercar with over 1000 hp.

The folks over at MotorTrend recently got their hands on one, and they put it to excellent use. The Valhalla was tested on track and in a straight line to see how it compared with its peers.

The Valhalla did 0-60 mph in a very respectable 2.3 seconds, while 0-100 mph came up in 5.0 seconds. The quarter mile took 10.0 seconds at 138 mph. Now, here’s a bummer—Aston’s million-dollar supercar was slower than the Lamborghini Temerario, Porsche 911 Turbo S, and Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X, which clocked a sub-10 second quarter-mile.

The Valhalla uses a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 plug-in hybrid. The internal combustion engine is paired with three electric motors to produce 1065 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque.

Aston Martin is all set to debut the open-top version of the hybrid supercar soon. Our sources tell us that the Valhalla Spider could debut as early as November 2026.

  • “…for that you get a lightweight, mid-engined supercar…”, it weighs over 1900 kg. In MotorTrend’s video, they weighed it at around 1920 kg (4219 lb to be precise) , the one that was on Harry’s Garage youtube channel was 1940 kg, all these make a case against your statement on this car being lightweight.

Also, the Temerario and ZR1X are still in production and are fairly new cars, you should have also mentioned the SF90 Stradale which is currently out of production and was introduced back in 2019!
