Aston Martin AM-RB 003 will pack 1,000 HP and $1 Million Price Tag
Not much was shared about the Aston Martin AM-RB 003 during the Geneva Motor Show. But a load of details has arrived now.
A report has surfaced on Carscoops, claiming that they have come across a dealer brochure which spilled out some juicy details about the Aston Martin AM-RB 003 hypercar. The manufacturer had preferred to keep all the good bits of info under the wraps during the 2019 Geneva Motor Show debut of the exotic machine. But the recent reports have revealed almost all the great stuff.
We knew that the AM-RB 003 will be powered by a turbocharged hybrid V6. What we didn’t know until today was that the powertrain will hurl 1,000 hp of power through an 8-speed, F1-inspired dual-clutch transmission, and a limited-slip differential. That slots it right below the more hardcore Aston Martin Valkyrie which produces 1,160 hp.
Oh, we aren’t done yet. The AM-RB 003 will weigh 1,350 kg, thanks to its makers picking a full carbon-fiber monocoque and carbon body panels for construction. It has a 750 hp per tonne power-to-weight ratio which contributes to amazing acceleration and top speed figures. 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 220 mph places the new Aston Martin smack in the middle of hypercar league. The electric motors will power the front wheels of the all-wheel-drive machine and the Valkyrie will be serving as a source for most of the AM-RB 003 hypercar’s suspension setup.
Deliveries will begin in 2021 and bookings can be made at $300,000 for customers in the US. As for the pricing, it’ll be in the neighborhood of £875,000. That’ll be $1,152,440 for US buyers.
