Fernando Alonso was recently spotted driving his newly acquired Pagani Zonda Diamante Verde in Monaco ahead of this weekend’s F1 race in the country. The two-time Formula 1 World Champion was seen cruising down the streets in his multi-million dollar hypercar.
The Spanish F1 driver took delivery of the Zonda a few weeks ago. He has been spotted with his new prized possession in Monaco previously as well. Apart from the fact that it is a Pagani, some of its features include lots and lots of carbon fibre, quad exhausts, massive rear wing, iconic headlights and taillights.
Named after the car’s unique livery, the Pagani Zonda Diamante Verde is a one-off model. It uses a Mercedes-AMG-sourced 7.3L naturally aspirated V12 engine that produces 760 hp at just over 8,000 rpm. It makes a unique sound (some of which can be heard in this video) thanks to the beautifully sculpted and ceramic-coated exhaust manifolds, which feed into four blue silencers from MHG, before ending as four exhaust pipes within a circle – a Pagani trademark.
Monaco is bustling with celebrities and F1 drivers right now, considering it’s a race weekend. So spotting famous personalities and exotic cars at this time will become a common sight. After the free practice sessions, qualifying is scheduled for today, and the race will take place tomorrow, on Sunday, 7th May.
