Denza is preparing to launch the Z9S in China. The EV is scheduled to officially hit the market on September 23. Pre-sales are already underway, with three variants available.

The big talking point is its claimed range. Reports suggest the Denza Z9S could offer up to 1,100 km (683 miles) of CLTC range, potentially giving it the longest claimed EV range currently available.

All three versions use the same 102.326 kWh battery, but their claimed ranges vary from 780 km (484 miles) to 920 km (571 miles) and 1,100 km (683 miles).

There are also two powertrain options. The single-motor rear-wheel-drive version produces 370 kW (496 hp), while the range-topping triple-motor all-wheel-drive model delivers a massive 890 kW (1,194 hp).

The flagship can reportedly sprint from 0-62 mph in just 2.68 seconds. Despite that performance, the Z9S is a large machine, measuring more than five metres long.

Other highlights include LiDAR-based driver assistance, an active electric rear spoiler, rear-wheel steering and a magnetic passenger-side panel.
