Denza Z9 GT e3 Flash Charge trim

1140 hp Denza Z9 GT gets more affordable; Now starts at $49,000

Denza has made its already outrageous Z9 GT EV considerably more affordable in China. The new e3 Flash Charge trim starts at 329,800 yuan, or around $49,000, while retaining the same 1,140 hp tri-motor powertrain as the more expensive Performance version that costs around 40,000 yuan or $6000 more.

That means buyers are still getting a seriously potent electric shooting brake at an even lower cost. The all-wheel-drive setup combines a 230 kW front motor with two 310 kW permanent-magnet motors at the rear, producing 892 lb ft of torque.

Denza quotes a 0-62 mph time of just 2.8 seconds. Those numbers would be impressive for an expensive supercar, let alone a luxurious EV costing around $49,000.

The lower price comes from trimming equipment rather than performance. The e3 replaces the Performance model’s carbon-ceramic brakes with ventilated cast-iron discs, while some of the more extravagant cabin features have also been removed.

Importantly, the car still retains Denza’s DiPilot 5.0 driver-assistance system, including city navigation on autopilot and automated parking.
